Well, me made the drive to Seattle and back and all in one piece! Our vacation was much needed! We had such a great time and the kids did awesome on the long drive. It was really nice catching up with my sister, Kelli and her family. Their kids are growing up so fast! My oldest niece just turned 14! I cannot believe it!
We did some fun things while there. That Saturday we were able to go to a Yankees and Mariners baseballs game. Me and Steve are not much of sport fans, but the game was a lot of fun and we have decided that sports aren't so bad and we were able to really get involved in the game. ( Thanks for the tickets mom and Farrell!)
On Sunday we went to church and after wards went and picked wild blackberries. That is the nice thing about Washington, you can pick all kinds of fresh berries and take them home to make yummy treats! We made blackberry crunch! Mmmm!
Monday we decided to go to Snoqualmie Falls. Wow, they are beautiful! We were able to go right up to it and took some amazing pictures. I had also heard that the zoo there was lots of fun, so we decided to venture there next. The gorillas were my favorite! The baby gorilla was hilarious! It is crazy how human-like they are. There was so much to see that we even ran out of time and were not able to see everything. Maybe next time!
Wednesday was our last day there and we took a small boat out on the lake by my sisters house with tubes trailing behind. I think this was Steve's favorite part. He was glad that there was actually some semi, warm water to play in. We were definitely sad to leave Thursday morning and hope that we can go again next year for our family reunion. Washington is beautiful and I sure miss my sister and her cute, little family!
